Benjamin Parents' Association

The purpose of the Benjamin Parents' Association (BPA) is to act as the representative of the parent body. We serve to enhance communication, understanding and support between the parent body and the school's administration, faculty, Board of Trustees and the student body. The BPA strives to improve the quality of campus life by providing programs and activities that encourage participation and unity within the school community.
- As a parent or legal guardian of a Benjamin School student, you are automatically a member of the Benjamin Parents' Association and are invited to participate fully by volunteering your time and talents as part of one of our many committees. You can also participate by attending the programs and activities sponsored by the BPA.
- The BPA functions through its Operating Board, which represents all school divisions from Worlds of Wonder (PK3) through grade 12.
The BPA Operating Board Standing Committees:
BASH (Building a Scholastic Heritage): The BASH Chairs are responsible for coordinating and organizing the annual BASH Gala fundraising event held each year in the spring, as well as parent-driven special projects providing services to our children such as catered lunches and a holiday gift boutique known as Kids' Corner. The BASH chairs welcome participation from all members of the Benjamin community interested in working on, as well as contributing to various BASH events.
Community Event / Grandest Friends' Day: This committee is responsible for coordinating and organizing the school's annual Community Event held in the autumn and Grandest Friends' Day festivities for the Lower and Middle Schools.
Fine Arts: Committee members work with the various Fine Arts chairs in all divisions to promote and support all Fine Arts performances and to encourage parent participation in these performances.
Grade Liaisons: The purpose of Grade Liaisons is to foster an open line of communication between The Benjamin School parents and the Heads of Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, and to promote unity and cohesiveness within the Benjamin community.
Hospitality: The Hospitality Committee helps to ensure that Benjamin student and parent functions are warm and welcoming. The Hospitality Committee organizes and supports over 35 annual events, as well as the coordination of volunteers and supplies for these events..
M.O.B. (Men of Benjamin): The M.O.B. is a volunteer group committed to providing opportunities for fathers and other male role models to engage with students and to develop stronger relationships with students and The Benjamin School community. While it is not currently a part of the BPA Operating Board, the M.O.B. and its activities are sponsored by the BPA.
Multicultural Liaison: The Multicultural Liaison is a member of the TBS Diversity Committee. The Diversity Committee supports the mission of The Benjamin School by helping to cultivate an appreciation for the broad ethnic, cultural, racial and religious diversity of the School, community, nation and world.
New Family Program: The New Family Ambassador program offers the opportunity for all new families to feel welcomed and part of the Benjamin community immediately upon acceptance to the School. In conjunction with our Admission Office, we host informative and fun gatherings for all new members of our school community to attend.
Sports Liaison: The Sports Liaison's primary role is to enhance communication and organization between parents, athletes, coaches and the administration.
Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for orchestrating the volunteer fairs, as well as updating and maintaining the accuracy of the volunteer forms and directing all volunteers to the appropriate chairs or organizations.
