Senior Honored for Jimmy Award Win

Senior Sage Sorenson was honored during an upper school assembly for winning the Kravis Center's "Dream Award" in June. As a result, she performed at the Jimmy Awards (the National Musical Theatre Awards) on the stage of Broadway's Minskoff Theatre on June 24 with 99 other top performers.

"Ultimately, to arrive at these 100 awardees, the Jimmy Awards staff evaluated 10,500 candidates, landing on what they believed were the top 100 high school musical theatre performers in the nation. As our theatre director Jason Peck exclaimed in introducing Sage, 'This is a very, very, very big deal,'" said Head of Upper School Fletcher Carr.

"As we have watched her remarkable talents blossom over her years at Benjamin, we could not agree more," Carr said. "Next stop, the Tonys!"
