Gold Star Learning Lab (Grades K - 5)
ABOUT THE GOLD STAR LEARNING LABThe Gold Star Learning Lab, which is located on the lower school campus (Room 18) is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for students with unique learning needs. The Lab is staffed with master’s level learning specialists who are trained to help students reach their full academic potential and achieve success within The Benjamin School program. Learning specialists also provide assistance to teachers by offering direction on how to differentiate instruction for the varied learning needs of Benjamin students. The goal of the Gold Star Learning Lab is to give students the tools and strategies they need to be independent and responsible learners. -
BUC Club (Grades K-5)
BUC CLUB (GRADES K-5)The Benjamin Lower School offers after-school small group, targeted academic support. Students are referred by faculty members. -
Neuromotor Readiness for Learning Screening (Grades PK4 - 5)
NEUROMOTOR READINESS FOR LEARNING SCREENING (GRADES PK 4 - 5)Research shows that immature motor skills and postural instability have a direct correlation to educational achievement. Therefore, The Benjamin Lower School offers a screening that helps identify immature motor skills and postural instability. Students are referred by parents and/or faculty members. -
MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARNING LAB (GRADES 6-8)
The Middle School Learning Lab, located on the middle school campus (Room 47) is dedicated to providing a supportive learning environment for all middle school students. The Lab is staffed with a learning specialist who is trained to help students reach their full academic potential and achieve success within The Benjamin School program. The learning specialist also provides assistance to teachers by offering directions on how to differentiate instruction for the varied learning needs of Benjamin students. With an open-door policy, students can self-refer or be referred by a teacher for individual and small-group academic support, remediation, organizational skills, study strategies, and executive functioning skills. -
ETC - Extra Time Classes (Grades 6, 7, 8)
ETC - EXTRA TIME CLASSES (GRADES 6-8)Benjamin Middle School offers an after-school study hall. It is open to all middle school students Monday through Thursday 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. throughout the school year. ETC is supervised by middle school teachers, and support is available in middle school academic areas of study. Students are required to sign in, and they must be signed out by a parent or guardian. -
One-on-One Tutoring (Grades PK4 -12)
ONE ON ONE TUTORING (GRADES PK 4-12)Individual tutoring by Benjamin teachers is available upon request. Students are paired with a faculty tutor to help meet their academic needs in a variety of subject areas, including math, reading, writing, study skills, Wilson/Fundations, and more.)Tutoring fee is $80.00 per hour.
