The Dazzlers

The Benjamin Dance Team is an Upper School co-curricular activity supported by the Benjamin Dance Ensemble. The Dazzlers is a Varsity Team in which 9-12 graders are eligible. The Dazzlers focus on skills such as technique, choreography, organization, teamwork, performance quality, and are expected to act as role models to the Sparklers and Diamondettes. The team was developed to create a positive environment in which serious dancers are given opportunities that will assist in preparing them for college and/or the dance world.

The Dazzlers practice and perform through the fall, winter and spring at home football and basketball games as well as other school and community functions. The team holds light, informal practices in the summer and begin their season with a UDA leadership camp and a rigorous two day dance camp in August. The Dazzlers compete at regional and state competition in February and perform at the Spring Dance Concert in May.
