Description:
Join USGTF teaching professional and Benjamin Upper School faculty member, Ronnie Kane, a former Nike Junior Golf Camp director for 28 years for a week long golf program in a fun, camp setting. A former three-sport athlete at Franklin and Marshall College, Coach Kane has coached football, basketball, baseball, and golf during his 30+ year career in education. Ronnie's positive personality, passion for golf, and ability to inspire young student-athletes are big reasons why his camps are so successful.
The primary emphasis during the Benjamin/RK Golf experience is the development of fundamental skills through group and individual instruction. Coach Kane and his staff create an environment conducive to learning by balancing instruction, competitions, and fun for all campers. Each day is devoted to different aspects of the game. Woods, irons, chipping, pitching, sand play, and putting will be covered during each session. RK Golf Academy's methods of teaching are based on sound principles that have been simplified to help campers quickly grasp the mechanics of the golf swing. Coach Kane and his staff also stress sportsmanship, etiquette, and course management. Whether a camper is new to golf or has a few years experience, this will surely be a positive experience on the links.
The camp will be held at Jupiter Dunes Golf Club, a beautiful course set on an estuary with ocean breezes and beautiful vistas. The impeccable par-3 course is the ideal location for a small camp. Campers can bring their own lunch or can purchase lunch at The Burger Shack (where we have lunch each day). This is a small and highly supervised camp, and the group travels to and from lunch together.
