29th Annual Variety Show Highlights Performing Arts at TBS
The Benjamin School hosted the 29th annual Variety Show “Cirque du Benjamin” in Benjamin Hall on January 25. The performing arts showcase highlighted a talented group of student, alumni, parent, and faculty performing artists.
Performing Arts Chair Sara Salivar said this year’s show was a “blast to prepare, present, and enjoy.”
“From our youngest performers to our adults and alumni, we had such a good time in rehearsals and especially on the January 25th shows,” said Salivar who congratulated all those that made the day a success. “A big shout out to our wonderful facilities crew, our faculty and administrators, our alumni, our talented students, our guest performers, and our amazing Variety Show committee team with Onix Musibay Sanchez and Molly Stringer '95 for their energy, dedication and tremendous support.”
Head of Upper School Fletcher Carr congratulated the Performing Arts Department for the shows’ success and for “pooling their energy to prep well over a hundred performers, including dance groups, choral and instrumental groups, and even teams.”
“Thanks, too, to both our student and faculty performers, whose talents lit up the stage! And to the Facilities team, the Benjamin Hall team, clubs, and volunteers who made the complex logistics of pulling off such a show appear effortless, a feat as impressive as the performances themselves,” Carr said.
